July's meeting start off with a look at Microsoft Office 2007 and the new "Ribbon", which replaces the traditional Windows menu and toolbars.
For those of us that have been using prior versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for years, getting used to the new "Ribbon" in Office 2007 can be a real headache. If you purchased a computer recently with Microsoft Word or Office, your only choice now is version 2007 or 2010.
We hope to give you some information and some tips on learning to use the Ribbon. This presentation will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. and be given by several of our club members.
The second part of the meeting will be run by Craig Campbell, Technical Director for Nero Inc. Craig has headed up the Technical Support and Customer Service team in Northern California since 2001 and runs the FAE (Field Application Engineer) team for Northern California’s division of Nero.
Craig started in this industry back in 1991 with Yamaha Systems Technology, where he helped developers support the newly released ‘Yamaha CDR100 CD Recorder’. Craig has a history in both the software and hardware development of CD/DVD Recorders.
The primary area of Craig’s presentation will be Nero’s Multimedia Suite 10 which is Nero’s next generation of integrated digital media software. It features new cutting-edge functionality that make creating and enjoying digital media content simple.
