Green Screen Filming Minimize

A green cloth was used as a backdrop for "green screen" filming.  This cloth was lit from both sides by assemblies of lights.  The height and angles of the assemblies were carefully adjusted to ensure uniform illumination of the screen, which is essential for successful green screen effects.

A second light assembly set up much further from the screen was used to illuminate the subjects.  This assembly was adjusted to properly light the subject but ensuring no shadows were cast onto the screen.

The subjects then read from narration/script for a few minutes and video was recorded.  This video will be combined in post-processing with other video "tracks" to provide a moving video background behind the subjects while their narration is read.

Goebel Center Video Minimize

The Goebel Center Video now in development incorporates multiple short video clips providing an overview of the facility layout and of the activities supported by the Center.

A narrative was developed by Goebel Center staff to serve as a story line for the video.  The narration text is presented below in pdf format.  This narration has been recorded and is now being merged with video.

Video clips of the lobby and main desk, computer center, cafeteria, large activity room, pool room, and meeting rooms provide an overview of the physical layout of the facility. Videos are also being recorded of active discussion groups, arts and crafts, games, support groups, clubs, and classes in a variety of subjects.

Using Movie Maker to create videos Minimize

Barbara Warren presented an excellent video about her father and her family history.

This was developed using Movie Maker, a free Microsoft software program.  This software was used to create a video file consisting of photographs with an accompanying narration.  The program is quite flexible, allowing photo durations, transitions, and narrations to be adjusted for length.  Below is a file which describes the steps taken to develop this video.
